1. Your agreement
These Terms of Service govern your purchase and use of the DEASearch.com website and lookup software (the “Service”). “DEASearch.com,” “we,” and “us” refer to DEASearch.com Inc, the operator of the Service. “You” includes the person purchasing or using the Service and any organization that person is authorized to represent.
By purchasing this software, you agree to these Terms of Service. Read them before completing your purchase. You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to enter into this agreement. If you purchase on behalf of an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not complete a purchase.
Your order and the payment authorization displayed at checkout describe the plan, charges, and billing arrangement you select. These Terms do not authorize charges that were not disclosed and agreed to at purchase.
2. Service and data
DEASearch.com is an independent software service for searching DEA registrant information. The registration data made searchable through the Service is supplied to us by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. DEASearch.com provides the software interface and search tools.
DEASearch.com is privately operated. It is not a government website, and the identification of the DEA as the data source does not imply government sponsorship, endorsement, or certification of the Service.
Records relate to the dataset you select. Historical datasets describe historical information, and a record can change after the source data was issued or imported. A search result is not a registration certificate, a license, a prescription authorization, or a guarantee of a registrant’s current status. Confirm time-sensitive information with the relevant issuing authority when your use or applicable requirements call for it.
3. Accounts and access
Provide accurate account, business, and billing information and keep your login credentials secure. Use only accounts and additional logins authorized for your subscription. Do not share credentials in a way that bypasses the access included in your plan.
Paid applications are subject to the review and activation process disclosed at checkout. Invitation access is governed by the duration and conditions of the invitation. Submitting a paid application does not itself establish that the application has been approved.
For an active subscription, we grant you a limited, nonexclusive right to use the Service for your lawful professional or business purposes. This is access to the software, not a transfer of ownership of the software or a grant of rights beyond those we are authorized to provide in the source data.
4. Permitted use
You are responsible for the authorizations and legal obligations that apply to your intended use of registrant information, including any applicable source-data restrictions. You must not:
- Use records to impersonate a registrant, forge credentials, commit fraud, or facilitate an unlawful controlled-substance transaction.
- Bypass authentication or subscription restrictions, access another user’s account, or interfere with the Service’s security or availability.
- Resell, republish, or redistribute the Service or a substantial compilation of its records without our written authorization and any required permission for the source data.
- Use automated collection or bulk extraction except through a feature or access arrangement we expressly authorize.
- Submit patient records, payment card information, Social Security numbers, or other unrelated sensitive information in a search query.
No consumer reporting service is offered under these Terms. Do not use the Service as a consumer report for eligibility decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act without a separate arrangement expressly covering that use and the required legal procedures.
5. Billing and renewal
The price and order total shown at checkout govern your purchase. The currently displayed base subscription is $999 for one year, with no setup fee. Additional logins are charged at the price shown in your order. Review the complete order total and payment authorization before submitting.
The paid checkout includes an authorization for annual renewal. Where you expressly authorize it, the subscription renews annually at the renewal amount disclosed in that authorization until you cancel future renewals. The initial order total may differ from the renewal amount. Invitation access does not itself authorize a payment or renewal charge.
We will disclose material billing changes before they take effect and obtain additional consent where required by law. Posting revised Terms alone does not authorize a new charge, an undisclosed price increase, or a new recurring-payment arrangement.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may withdraw authorization for future annual renewals by emailing [email protected] before the next renewal charge. Your request should identify the account and state that you want to stop future renewals; do not send your full card number or security code.
Cancelling renewal does not by itself request immediate deletion of your account or end an already paid access period. Any refund terms expressly disclosed with your order and your nonwaivable rights under applicable law continue to apply. These Terms do not impose a separate “no refunds” policy or waive your right to dispute an unauthorized or erroneous charge.
Email [email protected] for billing questions, a refund request, or a cancellation confirmation. Nothing in these Terms limits a cancellation method or remedy that applicable law requires us to provide.
7. Account information
The Service receives the account and billing information you submit and records sign-ins, searches, selected filters, IP addresses, and administrative actions to operate accounts, process orders, administer access, and investigate misuse. Session cookies support sign-in. The site also loads fonts and interface scripts from external providers, which receive the requests needed to deliver those resources.
Use the designated billing fields for payment details and keep unrelated sensitive information out of searches. This agreement does not waive privacy rights or authorize a use of personal information that otherwise requires a separate notice or consent.
8. Availability and responsibility
The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, source-data updates, or events outside our reasonable control. We may restrict an account where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, a security threat, or a legal obligation. Where reasonably practicable and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Except for express commitments in your order and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the Service and records are supplied as available. We do not warrant uninterrupted access or that each record is complete, error-free, or current at the moment of a search. You remain responsible for your professional decisions and any independently required verification.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, neither party is responsible to the other for indirect or consequential losses arising from this agreement. This provision does not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability or remedy that the law does not permit the parties to exclude.
9. General terms
Applicable United States federal law and applicable state law govern the parties’ obligations. These Terms do not establish an exclusive court location, require arbitration, or waive nonwaivable consumer rights. A court with appropriate jurisdiction may resolve a dispute.
We may revise these Terms prospectively and will identify the revision date on this page. Material changes to a paid subscription will be communicated as required by law. Changes do not retroactively alter an accrued claim or replace an existing payment authorization.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Your order, any separately agreed written terms, and these Terms constitute the agreement for the Service. Keep a copy for your records.
